What is Alpha?
Over 27 million people worldwide have attended an Alpha course. Alpha is for anyone to explore the Christian faith, no matter what their background or beliefs, and is currently running in tens of thousands of churches of all denominations across the globe.
"What Alpha offers, and what is attracting thousands of people, is permission, rare in secular culture, to discuss the big questions: life, death and their meaning"-The Guardian
Who is Alpha for?
Alpha is for anyone who's curious. The talks are designed to encourage conversation and explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish.
How does it work?
Normally on Alpha, each session includes:
- Food - We always start by eating together.
- A short talk and,
- A discussion at the end, where you can share your thoughts and ask questions.
At any point, if you think Alpha isn't for you, that's not a problem. There's no pressure, no follow up and no charge.
The in-person course starts at 7:oopm on a Wednesday, and we'll always be finished by 9:00pm.
