Whether you can commit regularly or just every now and then, we’d love to hear from you. Alpha
Alpha is a place to encourage conversation and explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. If you'd like to help out at Alpha either in the morning or the evening, we'd love to hear from you!
Kids
We want Sundays to be the best hour of every child’s week. Kids Church at St Matthias is a space where all children from 0-11 can have fun with friends; play games, sing songs, read stories and experience God.
Sunday Café
We want St Matthias to feel like home and our Café Team is one of the best ways we do this - making delicious coffee for others and being involved behind the scenes setting up to provide pastries and snacks. If hospitality is your thing, we'd love you on board.
Welcome
Welcome team is all about making church friendly, warm and invitational. This might be on a Sunday morning chatting to someone as they come through the doors, setting the space for our Christmas or Easter services or helping people find a group to join in with – if you long to create connection with others and invite them into our church family, then this is the team for you
Worship & Production

Justice
We believe in the power of intentional and collective action when people are united in love for a just cause. We are working to eradicate racism from our community and to partner with local organisations in seeking to battle oppression in all its forms. minorities. Playcafé
We love to support young families in navigating the wonderful (yet sometimes challenging) early years of a child’s life. We have the joy of opening up our building every week to host loads of local parents and guardians to have space to meet, relax and play! If you’d like to be part of the PlayCafé team, we’d love to hear from you.
Events
We love community events at St Matthias! We run School Discos to raise money for our local schools, cocktails for couples, Christmas and Easter events, Summer Sundays and more. If you love an event and would like to be part of our amazing events team, please be in touch!
Youth
We long to be a place which is safe and welcoming for young people to hang out in. We run Youth drop-ins and events across the week, as well as on Sundays and partnering with local schools. If you would like to be part of this team or find out more we’d love to hear from you.
Dadventure
Dadventure is a group to connect with Dads and Kids. The focus is outdoors and adventurous – think exploration, outdoor play, cooking over a fire, and great coffee! If you would like to get involved please be in touch.
DIY
Aside from BBQ's and social hang outs, we want to enable everyone who fancies rolling their sleeves up in a practical way to be put into action! There are many ways roles within the DIY team to suit those with lots of experiences to little experiences.
